The Milwaukee Brewers are on a mission once again.
And Misiorowski is doing great damage with a blazing fastball that reaches 104.5 miles per hour.
brooksbaseball.net notes that Misiorowski throws a four-seam fastball, a curve, a cutter, and a changeup.
He throws that fastball on 68% of his pitches.
See the fastball at 104, and then here comes the changeup at 92-93. Knees buckle. Balance is altered. Rhythm is impacted.
In his masterful victory over the Phillies, Misiorowski faced the minimum 27 batters. He yielded a single by Kyle Schwarber in the fourth inning. Schwarber was erased on a double-play.

mlb.comsaid, “He did this in the midst of a stretch of eight starts in which his ERA has been .017, he’s struck out 80 and allowed just a single extra base hit.”
Think about that.
Think about a pitcher throwing to an Earned Run Average of 0.17 over eight starts.
Best pitcher in baseball right now? For this old scout, he is.
Even the great Shohei Ohtani has had recent hiccups or two in games.
A case can be made for Phillies Christopher Sanchez. But he had a rough outing in his June 14 start.
Perhaps the best is the Tigers Tarik Skubal.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto clearly gets some love as the best in the game.
For this old scout, Jacob Misiorowski is clearly the best pitcher in professional baseball.
Misiorowski may be the best today, tomorrow, next month, next year, and for years and years to come.

The Bob Feller Experiment:
Cleveland Indians right-hander, Bob Feller, threw one of the fastest pitches in his era.
The Hall of Famer was called “Rapid Robert” because he could bring the pitch to the plate at close to an estimated 98 miles per hour. But there weren’t radar guns at the time.
At one point, Bob Feller’s heater proved to be faster than a racing motorcycle.
Here’s how it is explained in halmccoy.com: “They would time Feller’s fastball against a speeding motorcycle. As the motorcycle sped past him, Feller had to unleash his fastball and hit a small paper target at home plate.”
“Second after the motorcycle roared past, Feller fired his heater. Feller’s pitch quickly outraced the motorcycle, ahead by a good three feet when it split the paper bull’s-eye target.”
Bring on the motorcycle and let “The Miz” give it a try.
