The best smart doorbell is this version from Nest. It drops to around $120 during the biggest shopping holidays of the year, but if you’re in the market now, this price is still better than usual. The notifications are good, there’s HDR video at up to 30 frames per second, and it doesn’t require a subscription to use. The subscription does get you face and package detection, plus longer video storage—if you want to sign up, it’ll be $10 per month or $100 per year. The doorbell is easy to dismount to charge, which you’ll need to do about once a month.
